Founder's note

Reading the numbers straight.

Why I started The 120 — and what you can expect to find here.

LOUISVILLE — Every race in Kentucky is a math problem.

I read it straight: the precincts that turned out, the precincts that didn't, the margins that matter, the spend that bought them. No takes. No spin. The numbers, in order, with the receipts.

The Secretary of State publishes the official roll-up. County clerks publish the SOVCs. I reconcile both, render them honestly, and write what I see. If a county shifted, I'll show you the precinct that moved it. If a race was decided by 412 votes, I'll show you the 412.

This is the numbers desk of Tanner Norkus Consulting. It is mine. The analysis is mine. The mistakes will be mine too — if you catch one, tell me.

Welcome.
